Analox is a well established global leader in the research, development and manufacturing of complex gas sensing products and systems. Our equipment is used across a diverse range of markets and applications such as submarines, space, beverage and deep sea diving. We have 115 people. Analox operates from a purpose built 15,000 sq ft factory and offices in Stokesley Business Park, North Yorkshire, and from a remotely based sales and sales support team as well as a distribution centre in Houston, Texas

Overall Purpose of the Role
To provide mechanical design to NPI and legacy projects and products using the Analox design and development processes.
Responsible for mechanical design following the Analox design and development processes, guidelines and procedures.
Responsible for pneumatic design following the Analox design and development processes, guidelines and procedures.
Create and manage technical documentation such as drawings, bills of materials, technical descriptions etc.
Develop, test and iterate prototype components and products.
Review the work of engineering peers
Use technical expertise to contribute to project work.
Write and/or perform verification and validation tests.
Keep up to date in their relevant field - industry standards and guidelines.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications:
Essential
Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 2:1
Desirable
Masters in Mechanical Engineering
Skills/Experience:
Essential
Use of 3D CAD design software
Basic knowledge of tolerance management and evaluation including GD&T
Basic understanding of manufacturing and machining processes - their capabilities, limitations and tolerances etc.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Demonstration of a university project or work placement project
Desirable
Proficient use of Solidworks
Knowledge of basic pneumatic principles
Knowledge of Design for manufacture and assembly
Knowledge of quality/continuous improvement
1 year (Industry placement)
