Job Role: Payroll & Account Administrator
PAYROLL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing of end-to-end payroll for all monthly UK permanent payroll ensuring a high standard of accuracy is maintained and all statutory legislation is adhered to.
- Administration of new starts and provide all required documentation.
- Processing of Maternity, Sickness, Shared Parental Leave, Paternity Leave & other absences in line with Company Policy and statutory regulations.
- Produce and reconcile all reports as required to enable the authorisation of Bacs files.
- Preparation of payslips & P45’s.
- To ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of PAYE and to ensure accurate and timely reporting as required by HM Revenue and Customs, Real Time information and pension scheme returns.
- To manage all aspects of Auto Enrolment.
- To update and manage holiday entitlement.
- Administration of benefits such as company cars and private medical.
- Reconciliation of end of year.
- Completion and of all end of year documentation and submissions to HMRC
- The production of P60’s and P11D’s and all relevant returns.
- Ensure documentation to outside agencies such as HMRC and Courts are completed accurately and within the agreed turn around.
- Provide reports as required by the business on an accurate and timely basis.
- Timely & efficient resolution of payroll queries.
- To keep updated and implement all changes from HMRC
- To be aware and update directors and management of all employment rights and policy updates to ensure compliance.
- Assist with software upgrades including legislation changes with minimum disruption to the business.
ACCOUNTS RESPONIBILITIES
Support to the Directors of the business in the following areas:
- Inputting invoices
- Posting BACS receipts
- Chasing payments
- Compile and send out sales reports
- Answering customer calls and queries
- Health and safety support
- Support the wider business on ad hoc project work.
- Any other duties as required by the business.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
QUALIFICATIONS;
- CIPP qualification advantageous but not essential.
- Proven payroll experience
EXPERIENCE;
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a previous organisation.
- Experience of working in a HR role would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of statutory legislation and compliance.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Proficient with payroll software, experience in using SD WORX beneficial.
SKILLS;
- Proficient in using all aspects of Sage, Word, Microsoft 365, and Excel – vlookups, pivot tables.
- Accuracy of Input/Output
- Ability to meet all processing & reporting deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise effectively.
- Proactive solution finder with an eye for detail.
- Manual calculations of payroll
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and well within a team.
- High level of discretion and professional manner

Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30
Salary: Based on experience
