Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating 3&5 axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components. Working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics and composite materials.
Job Description
· Be able to work within set time scales to maintain our production output
· Awareness and adherence to Health & Safety standards
· Adherence to paperwork & procedures in line with our quality systems
· To ensure Right First Time Quality and On Time in Full Delivery
· To be able to set and produce components off the machine based on the work instructions provided, to prepare ready for 1st off.
Person Specification – Essential
· Technical experience in engineering
· Work with flexibility within a team environment & demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative
· Responsible for producing components within fine tolerance dimensions to a high-quality standard
· Previously worked within a manufacturing environment
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Able to understand dimensional drawing requirements
· Able to understand geometrical drawings under the metric and imperial system
· Use measuring instruments to maintain quality of produced parts
Person Specification – Desirable
· Previous experience in an aerospace / ISO9100 environment
· A good understanding of Matsuura 5-axis Machines, including those with a pallet and vice loading system – not essential training can be provided.
