Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Recovery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring timely recovery operations. This role requires a professional approach, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various recovery situations with confidence. Candidates with prior recovery experience are encouraged to apply.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to recover and transport vehicles or equipment.
Safely load and unload items using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding recovery schedules and status updates.
Assist in the organisation of storage areas as needed.
Maintain accurate records of recoveries, mileage, and vehicle conditions.
Follow all health and safety protocols during recovery operations.
Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, particularly flatbeds or recovery lorries.
Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle recovery and maintenance.
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
Organised with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team in a vital logistics environment, requiring professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety at all times.
The use of Apex is required or though we can train if needed.

Pay is negotiable depending on experience with extra bonus available.

Pay: £150.00-£175.00 per day
