This role is working for a well-established electrical contractor with a growing renewable energy division delivering commercial and domestic Solar PV projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Solar & Electrical Site Supervisor to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to take a leading role in delivering high-quality solar PV and electrical installations while supervising projects from installation through to completion.
The Role
You will take the lead in supervising projects. You’ll be responsible for ensuring installations are carried out to the highest standards, on time and in line with current regulations. An electrical background is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission solar PV systems in domestic and commercial settings.
- Supervise and coordinate installation teams where required.
- Manage projects, ensuring health & safety compliance and quality control.
- Carry out testing, inspection, and handover of completed systems.
- Liaise with clients, site managers, and the projects team to ensure smooth delivery.
- Carry out maintenance checks, diagnose and resolve installation or performance issues.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in solar PV installation (domestic and/or commercial).
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience (SSSTS or SMSTS preferred).
- Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition) or strong electrical knowledge is highly desirable.
- ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician) – desirable.
- Strong understanding of health & safety and site management
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience of different roof mounting systems
- Experience of working with SolarEdge, Solis and Huawei inverters (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence.
