Overview
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Weekend Cake Shop Assistant to provide excellent customer service and support the day-to-day running of our cake shop. The successful candidate will help serve customers, handle sales transactions, maintain shop presentation, and assist with stocking and packaging cakes and baked goods.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Serve cakes, and other bakery products.
- Process payments using card payment systems.
- Package cakes and bakery items carefully for customers.
- Maintain attractive product displays and ensure shelves are fully stocked.
- Keep the shop clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and storing products appropriately.
- Answer customer enquiries regarding products, ingredients, and allergens.
- General duties deemed within capabilities including general cleaning.
- The ability to work on their own and use initiative to get daily tasks done on time.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is preferred
- Candidates with restaurant or food service experience demonstrating reliability and enthusiasm are encouraged to apply

Pay: £12.71 per hour
