Job Title: Assistant Manager (Children's Home)

Location: March, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £28,159 - £33,879 (dependent on experience) + £55 per sleep in shift

Juventas is looking for a multi-skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Manager to assist the Registered Manager in the running of our registered children's home based in March, Cambridgeshire.

The role

Juventas cares for looked-after children in residential and semi-independent supported accommodation so they can live a positive and meaningful life as they approach adulthood.

As Assistant Manager you'll be:

Providing care and support for looked after-children in a residential accommodation setting
Working as a member of the homes staff team to provide children with the necessary guidance to enable them to live a positive and meaningful life as they approach adulthood
Working on a shift basis to ensure children have their needs met and their welfare promoted while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
Reporting to and assist the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day management of staff teams including induction, supervision, monitoring and development as well as completing annual appraisals

The ideal candidate

You'll have:

At least 3 years' experience of working with children and young people
At least 1 year's experience in a senior, managerial or team leader role
Relevant educational or professional qualification(s)
Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People and a good standard of secondary education
A full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain business insurance
The ability to identify the needs of young people
An understanding of the importance of safeguarding young people
