Arborist Team Leader
Location: Bournemouth and surrounding area
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: 40 Hours, Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30 with Overtime/ On call rota (weekends) available
Hourly Rate: £18.68 to £19.69 DOE and qualifications held, PLUS Enhanced Overtime and call-out rates (Base Salary Equivalent £38,850-40,950)
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Arb Team Leader to join our Arboricultural Association Approved contracting teams based from our Christchurch depot. You will focus on the day-to-day running of your own team; manage the planning and performance of works, and take ownership for the supervision, coordination and delivery of key arboricultural contracts.
As a team leader you will help drive operational excellence and uphold the company’s reputation in forestry and arboriculture services, assisting the Arboriculture Manager as required to ensure smooth operations and the highest standards of performance.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Arborist, with an eye for detail and passion for high quality tree care.

Experience in supervising teams and managing their workload & performance.

Proficiency of completing risk assessments, plant & vehicle check sheets, conducting LOLER and PPE climbing kit checks.

Excellent understanding of safety protocols, care & maintenance of all equipment, plus the ability to undertake operations safely and competently, with a can-do attitude.

Knowledge of tree biology, arboriculture and relevant regulations (e.g. LOLER, BS3998, TPOs).

CS31 / NPTC 202 – Level 3 Felling Small Trees <380mm

CS32 / NPTC 304 – Level 3 Felling and Processing Medium Trees (380-760mm)

CS38 / NPTC 203 – Level 2 Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue

CS39 / NPTC 204 – Level 2 Operate a Chain Saw from a Rope and Harness

CS40 / NPTC 302 – Level 3 Aerial Tree Pruning

CS41 / NPTC 303 – Level 3 Aerial Tree Rigging

Additional Tickets & qualifications/ certificates beneficial e.g. First Aid & Forestry, MEWP, Wood Chipper, IPAF etc. (training can be provided in house to upskill)

Strong communication, organisational & problem-solving skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and staff at all levels.

Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
