About the Role
We are a well-established subcontract engineering business serving a diverse range of industries, delivering high-quality fabricated and machined components to demanding customer deadlines. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Fabrication Supervisor to lead our fabrication team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication activities to ensure production targets and customer delivery schedules are achieved.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of fabricators, welders, and assembly personnel.
- Monitor workflow, labour allocation, and resource planning to maximise efficiency.
- Ensure all work is completed to required quality standards, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and address non-conformances promptly.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Engineering departments to resolve manufacturing issues and improve performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational effectiveness.
- Assist with training, performance management, and skills development within the fabrication team.
- Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and reporting.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a fabrication supervisory or team leader role within a subcontract engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong fabrication and welding knowledge with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Excellent understanding of production processes, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
- Flexible, proactive, and capable of leading by example on the shop floor.
