As Housekeeper, you will become part of our core Housekeeping team under the direction of our Head Housekeeper. The position involves managing and maintaining cleanliness and order in our growing portfolio of Holiday Lets, ensuring a ‘guest ready’ welcoming environment for our guests is ready between guest stays, and ensuring the accommodation is presented to high, hotel-quality standards. The role involves deep cleaning, managing bed linens and towels, restocking guest essentials, and reporting any damages or maintenance issues to the Director.
As Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of Laundry across all Second Key and client properties. Working behind the scenes, you will ensure all items are processed with care, precision and efficiency, supporting the overall guest experience through impeccable attention to detail.
Main tasks of HOUSEKEEPING role (2-3 shifts a week, to include Friday & Saturday):
· Cleaning Duties: Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning full properties between guests. This includes guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas. This is broken down into changing/making beds, dusting furniture, dusting ceilings, vacuuming carpets and mopping floors.
· Laundry management: Housekeepers are responsible for striping guest beds, remaking with fresh linen & towels.
· Inventory & Stock: Restock consumables; toilet paper, bin bags, soaps, coffee, and welcome pack items.
· Sanitation: Ensuring that all areas are cleaned particularly in high touch areas like bathrooms and kitchens, Light switches.
· Inventory Management: Keeping track of cleaning supplies and notifying management (Director or Head Housekeeper) when personal caddy supplies are low. This may also include disposing of rubbish properly.
· Guest Interaction: There may be some level of guests interaction if guests have not departed on time.
· Make Adjustments or Minor Repairs:
· Reporting Issues: Inspect the property for guest damages, check that appliances are functioning, fire safety checks and report required maintenance for the Director immediately.

· Work collaboratively with other Housekeepers to ensure a seamless operation

Main tasks of LAUNDRY ASSISTANT role (2 shifts a week - Week day):
- Operate and monitor washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines in line with established procedures
- Sort, inspect and identify stained or damaged items, determining appropriate action such as rewash or repair
- Set appropriate wash and drying cycles based on fabric type and load requirements
- Fold, press and prepare linen to required presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, machines and equipment
- Remove lint, debris and waste from machines and filters after each cycle
- Accurately record and track items processed in the laundry system
- Ensure all laundry items are handled with care and support the distribution promptly to the properties
- Report equipment faults, maintenance concerns or safety issues promptly
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene and chemical handling procedures
- Work collaboratively with Housekeeping
