Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Builders Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting various building projects through hands-on assistance, ensuring the smooth progression of site activities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Assisting with general site tasks such as clearing debris, preparing sites, and moving materials
Supporting skilled tradespeople including carpenters, roofers, plumbers, and masons
Handling hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Assisting with basic carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication tasks as required
Ensuring the work area remains clean and organised throughout the project
Following health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in construction essential.
Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Willingness to learn new skills across various trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A valid UK driving licence is mandatory

Pay: £120.00-£140.00 per day
