To play an active role in the Security Group, as part of our team responsible for actively patrolling and protecting various clients’ sites within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. Including assets; as well as maintaining a secure and safe environment for visitors, staff, and contractors.
Purpose of the Role
To provide a professional mobile security patrol, alarm response, lock/unlock, and keyholding service to clients in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and relevant British Standards including BS 7984 and BS 7499.
Your Duty
To support the effective operation of the control room by monitoring alarms, coordinating patrol officers, managing communications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring service delivery meets client and company requirements.sponsibilities
- Monitor alarm receiving systems, CCTV systems, and communication platforms.
- Receive, log, and process alarm activations and service requests.
- Dispatch mobile patrol officers and response personnel as required.
- Maintain accurate incident logs, response records, and operational documentation.
- Monitor officer welfare and lone worker check-ins.
- Escalate incidents to management, clients, or emergency services when appropriate.
- Maintain keyholding records and access control documentation.
- Answer telephone calls and respond professionally to client enquiries.
- Produce operational reports and maintain audit trails.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of client information.
- Conduct scheduled and random mobile patrols of client premises.
- Respond to alarm activations and security incidents within agreed response times.
- Carry out opening and closing duties, including locking and unlocking premises.
- Perform site inspections and identify security, safety, or maintenance issues.
- Complete detailed electronic patrol and incident reports.
- Liaise with emergency services, clients, and company management when required.
- Ensure keys, access cards, and company property are securely managed and accounted for.
- Follow lone worker procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to clients and members of the public.
- Assist with emergency call-outs and out-of-hours services as directed.
Essential Requirements
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm during emergency situations.
- Flexible approach to shift working.
- Valid SIA Security Guarding (SG) licence or Door Supervisor licence.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- 3 years of driving.
- Over 25 years of age.
- Cctv licence is required.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in a security control room, alarm receiving centre, or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of keyholding and mobile response operations.
- Experience with CCTV monitoring systems and incident management software.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
