Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Host to join our team on a part time basis. (minimum 20 hours per week). This will be a dual role working on Reception and also in our Restaurant/Conservatory and Bar. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a warm welcome. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a busy hotel environment.

Reception Responsibilities

Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude
Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently
Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services and local attractions
Answering the telephone.
Making room and restaurant reservations.
Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest information
Process payments and manage billing inquiries
Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-organised at all times
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Restaurant Responsibilities

Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
Offer guests our menus and take orders.
Serve Food/Drinks
Process payments
Ensure that the restaurant is laid up to the correct standard for each service.

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential
A background in guest services will be an advantage
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
