DeltaH Innovations - Product Design Engineer
Location: UK-based / Hybrid
Type: Full-time
Equity: 0.5% over 2 years
Who we are
DeltaH Innovations is building Cool>Can - the world's first self-cooling beverage platform. No batteries. No gas. No refrigeration. A proprietary endothermic system that drops drink temperature 10–15°C in under 90 seconds, built into the can itself.
We're patent-pending and in active conversations with Tier 1 global beverage brands. This is early stage, well-funded with a clear commercial roadmap, and we're building our founding team now.
The role
Our founder moves fast and thinks in products. Your job is to make those products real.
You'll be our first dedicated product design engineer - owning the physical design of our platform from first concept through to tooling-ready CAD. You'll work directly with the founder and our technical advisors to develop ideas that are not just visually compelling but manufacturable, functional, and scalable.
This isn't a junior seat filling a gap. It's a founding role with real ownership.
What you'll own
Concept development - translating ideas into tangible, resolved product directions
All CAD across the Cool>Can and Cool>Vessel platform
DFM validation - making sure everything we design can actually be injection moulded and built at scale
Design language consistency across our growing product family
Prototype coordination and iteration
Manufacturer and toolmaker briefs
Input into IP documentation for mechanical innovations
What we're looking for
Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Product Design Engineering
2–4 years experience in a product studio, hardware startup, or design consultancy
Proficient in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 - proper manufacturing-intent CAD
Real understanding of injection moulding - draft angles, wall thickness, undercuts, gate placement
An eye for premium consumer aesthetics - our design language sits at Apple × Dyson × YETI
Someone who pushes back when an idea won't work - we need a thought partner, not a yes person
Portfolio that shows both aesthetic sensibility and functional problem solving
Bonus if you have
Experience with beverage, packaging, or FMCG products
CMF knowledge - colour, material, finish
Familiarity with stainless steel or aluminium components
Any exposure to chemical containment or consumer activation systems
Why this role
You'll be one of the first five people building a platform that could sit on every drinks shelf in the world. You'll have genuine autonomy over how our products look and work. And you'll have real equity - a stake in what we're building together.
If you want a desk at a big company, this isn't it. If you want to build something that ships globally and has your fingerprints on it - let's talk.
To apply
Send us your portfolio and tell us about a product you designed that had to be rethought because of a manufacturing constraint - and what you did about it.
