An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Course Manager to join the greenkeeping team at Sunbury Golf Club.
This is a full-time position reporting directly to the General Manager, working 40 hours per week with weekend work on a rota basis.
We are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual to lead our greenkeeping team and take responsibility for the management, maintenance, care, improvement and overall presentation of the golf course and surrounding grounds.
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional course conditions and ensuring Sunbury Golf Club provides a fair, enjoyable and high-quality golfing experience for players of all abilities throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the greenkeeping team on a daily basis
- Oversee all aspects of course maintenance and presentation
- Plan and manage resources effectively and efficiently
- Ensure the course and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest standards
- Implement course improvement programmes and maintenance schedules
- Keep abreast of developments in turf management technology and greens science
- Maintain safe working practices and compliance with relevant regulations
- Communicate effectively with management, team members, members and guests
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience in golf course maintenance and team leadership
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
- Good knowledge of modern turf management practices and machinery
- The ability to motivate and develop a team
- A commitment to delivering high standards year-round
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Sports Turf Management
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates
