We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Service Scheduler to join our Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys planning, problem-solving, and coordinating multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for scheduling field service engineers, managing customer service requests, and ensuring service visits are completed efficiently and within agreed service levels. Working closely with customers, engineers, technical teams, and management, you'll help deliver a high standard of service while keeping operations running smoothly.
The Role
This role is focused on coordinating engineer workloads, managing service call-outs, and ensuring customer requirements are met in a timely and professional manner.
No two days are the same. You'll be balancing engineer availability, customer priorities, emergency breakdowns, and changing schedules while maintaining excellent communication with all parties involved.

What You’ll Be Doing
Scheduling & Coordination
· Schedule and dispatch field service engineers to customer sites across the UK
· Plan engineer workloads efficiently, taking into account location, skillset, availability, and customer requirements
· Coordinate service appointments, breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance visits
· Monitor engineer progress throughout the day and adjust schedules where required
Customer Service & Communication
· Liaise with customers, fleet operators, transport managers, and drivers to arrange appointments and provide updates
· Respond to service requests and prioritise urgent issues appropriately
· Manage customer expectations and ensure a professional service experience
· Communicate any delays, schedule changes, or service concerns promptly
Administration & Service Management
· Create and manage service jobs using internal systems including BigChange and Sage 50
· Maintain accurate records of service visits, engineer attendance, customer communications, and parts requirements
· Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved where possible
· Escalate ongoing issues or service concerns when necessary
Team Collaboration
· Work closely with engineers, technical teams, warehouse staff, and management
· Support continuous improvements to scheduling processes and service delivery
· Help ensure jobs are completed successfully and efficiently

About You
You will be organised, adaptable, and confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
You enjoy solving problems, communicating with different people, and keeping operations running efficiently. You'll be comfortable making decisions, managing changing priorities, and working closely with both customers and engineers.
Essential:
· Previous experience in a scheduling, planning, dispatch, service coordination, or administrative role
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
· Strong attention to detail
· Right to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable:
· Experience within service, fleet, transport, logistics, commercial vehicle, or engineering environments
· Experience using BigChange, Sage, or similar service management systems
· Understanding of field service operations or engineer scheduling
