Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Assist in the assembly of mechanical components using hand tools and power tools
- Learn to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) equipment under supervision
- Carry out basic inspections of assembled products to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow detailed work instructions and assembly procedures accurately
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with experienced technicians to develop technical skills and understanding of assembly processes
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical principles
- A practically minded person who with the ability to read engineering drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn new skills in assembly and manufacturing processes
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and teamwork
