The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Technical Instructor (Adult Nursing) to join our Clinical Skills and Simulation Technician Team. This role is ideal for newly qualified or experienced nurses looking to transition into an educational environment.
You will play a key role in the delivery of clinical skills and simulation-based teaching, maintenance of high‑quality simulation equipment, and support of learners as they develop essential clinical competencies.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate clinical skills teaching and simulation-based activities across undergraduate and postgraduate health and social care programmes
Provide high-quality technical and instructional support to academic colleagues and learners
Demonstrate, prepare, and maintain specialist clinical and simulation equipment, ensuring it is safe and fully operational
Support learners to build confidence and competence for real-world clinical practice
Work collaboratively with academic staff and fellow technicians to deliver engaging, effective learning experiences
Contribute to skills teaching and technical support across Worcester and Dudley campuses as required

Annual incremental increase up to ÂŁ31236 with the opportunity to progress to ÂŁ37694 subject to performance and the university reward scheme

Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
