Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, contributing to the production of high-quality products. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate welding machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or sub-assemblies.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve technical issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work and assembly processes is desirable.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Prior experience working with various metals and understanding of different welding techniques is advantageous.
