Overview
Geek Chic Events is a creative, fast-growing events company delivering events in Surrey, London and beyond. We’re looking for a personable and organised Sales & Events Coordinator to manage enquiries, build relationships with clients, venues and partners, and help convert interest into booked events. This is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone who genuinely loves events and enjoys guiding clients from first enquiry through to securing their date.
Duties
- Respond to enquiries and guide clients from initial contact through to booking
- Keep leads warm with consistent, friendly follow-ups
- Manage and nurture leads generated from wedding shows and other trade shows
- Liaise with the technical team to translate client ideas into accurate, tailored quotes
- Support the quoting process, with more complex events handled alongside the technical lead
- Maintain and manage the sales pipeline using Pipedrive
- Confidently handle phone calls to build rapport and move enquiries forward
- Network with venues and other industry partners, strengthen existing relationships, and identify new partnership opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sales role (required)
- Confident and comfortable speaking on the phone
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- A genuine interest in weddings, events, and the hospitality industry
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries at different stages
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Pipedrive preferred but not essential)
Pay
- Pro rata salary of £27,300 plus uncapped commission
- Part-time: 2 days per week (6 hours per day - 12 hours total)
- Opportunity for additional hours and progression as the role grows

Experience:
- Sales: 2 years (preferred)
- Event planning: 1 year (preferred)
