Distribution Assistant - Export

Location: 5 Queensway, Croydon, CR9 4DL

Contract: Permanent, 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. Some flexibility required; occasional weekends.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Distribution Assistant to support our export operations. This role combines core warehouse duties with export-specific responsibilities, requiring strong IT skills, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The role involves both independent work and collaboration with the export team and head office.

What impact you can create at CHANEL

Perform picking, packing, and preparation of goods for export.
Ensure accurate labelling, documentation, and data entry for all shipments, including weights and dimensions.
Communicate effectively with the export team and head office regarding export requests.
Support bulk orders when the Team Leader is unavailable.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow all warehouse procedures and health & safety regulations.
Complete mandatory Dangerous Goods Training and achieve the required certification.
Report any issues or discrepancies promptly to supervisors and team leaders.
Provide support in other areas of the distribution centre during quieter periods.

What you will bring to the role

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution role is preferred.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, D365 and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams
Self-motivated, organised, and enthusiastic with a flexible attitude and ability to work on own initiative.
Physically able to lift, move, and handle goods safely.
Must complete and pass Dangerous Goods Training before handling export shipments.
Awareness of retail demands during busy periods and ability to work under pressure.
Approachable with the ability to liaise comfortably and appropriately with all levels of the business.
