We are looking for an experienced, hands-on, and passionate Restaurant & Hospitality Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy country pub, restaurant, events business, and hotel accommodation.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires an exceptional leader with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience. You will oversee front-of-house operations, restaurant service, bar operations, private events, hotel rooms, and work closely with the kitchen team to ensure every guest enjoys outstanding food, service, and hospitality.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware, and confident leading a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support the front-of-house, bar, restaurant, and accommodation teams.
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of restaurant, bar, hotel room, and event operations.
- Ensure every guest receives exceptional service from arrival through to departure.
- Manage private functions, celebrations, corporate events, and special occasions from planning through to delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock levels and oversee purchasing of food, beverages, and operational supplies.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality food and service.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a positive and professional working environment.
- Prepare staff rotas to ensure efficient staffing levels while managing labour costs effectively.
- Monitor business performance, including sales, GP, labour costs, budgets, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, licensing, health and safety, and hospitality legislation.
- Resolve customer enquiries and feedback professionally, ensuring a positive outcome whenever possible.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through food and drink sales, hotel occupancy, events, and exceptional guest experiences.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven management experience within a restaurant, pub, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a successful team.
- Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage service, and customer care.
- Experience managing functions, events, and accommodation is highly desirable.
- A sound understanding of food safety, licensing, and health and safety regulations.
- Strong financial awareness, including budgeting, stock control, GP management, and labour planning.
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy seasonal periods as required.
- Barista experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
