WILD SPA WOWO is a wild sauna spa and retreat space based at Wowo Campsite.
The job of the spa host is to deliver a wonderful experience for every guest. This involves:
- Customer Service and Sales: checking customers in, selling and preparing our homemade treatments, looking after customers by generally attending to their needs and questions.
- Explaining how to use the saunas to their best advantage and taking payments
- Hygiene: a large part of the role is to clean the saunas and site. Washing up the treatment bowls and cutlery etc, laundry runs and overseeing guest areas
- Fires: Know how to light and maintain sauna and camp fires.
- Security: Feel comfortable opening up the site on your own in the morning, getting the fires and site ready before customers arrive. Shutting the site down at night and locking everything up securely. Be aware of our risk assessment and advise customers firmly but politely if you see them taking any risks anywhere on site.
- All weathers: We work in wind, cold, snow, rain as well as sunshine. You need to come prepared for the weather forecast for a shift.
- First Aid: Let us know if you have a current first aid certificate. If you don’t we will train you as soon as we can.
The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, tidy, organised, unflappable, presentable and practical. Your role will be very varied from cleaning and mopping, hosting customers, serving treatments such as salt scrubs to keeping the fires hot!
Hours and pay: £14 per hour
Shifts will vary, but will generally fall within our usual opening hours:
- Wednesday: 12pm–8.30pm
- Thursday: 9am–8.30pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 7am–6.30pm
This does not mean every shift will cover the full opening period. Shift lengths and start times will vary depending on the rota and business needs.
There may also occasionally be private events, training days or additional sessions outside these hours, so some flexibility is helpful. However, most work will be scheduled within the opening times listed above.
Applicants must be available to work weekends, as these are our busiest days.
This is an ad hoc role with no fixed weekly hours, so it may suit a student or someone looking for flexible part-time work. Hours will vary depending on bookings and events, with more shifts usually available during busier periods such as school holidays, Christmas and special events.
Start: Available to start asap. Please flag any holidays on your cover letter.
Contract: Zero hours. Ad hoc work. You will be on the payroll.

Getting to work: We are based in a camping field at Wowo Campsite. Please ensure you are able to get to this site before applying as there is not public transport. The role would ideally suit someone local to Sheffield Park or the surrounding area. Own transport is essential due to our rural location.
