Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Caretaker/Maintenance professional to oversee the upkeep and operational functionality of our facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and supervising maintenance activities to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and supervisory skills, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and leadership within the team. This is a paid position suitable for individuals committed to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
To conform and comply with directions issued by the employer or the Managing Agent.
Perform repairs and maintenance on building .
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from tenants.
Lead by example in promoting a safe working environment through adherence to policies and procedures.
Report to Managing Agents informing of any problems arising and any resident complaints.
Oversee the Cleaning Company - ensure that the specific details of the cleaning requirements are adhered to.
To deal with problems arising at the Estate in relation to day-to-day management as agreed with the employer or the Managing Agent
Oversee the gardeners, contractors and suppliers who visit the site to ensure the areas they are working on are left in good condition.
General Handy Person duties, painting etc

Requirements

Proven experience in maintenance, or related fields.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.
Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical work, mechanical engineering, or maintenance are preferred but not essential. This role offers an opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute significantly to the ongoing safety and functionality of our facilities through expert maintenance and leadership skills.
Full, clear DBS checks and certification will be required.
Must be prepared to work anywhere on the Estate where the employer or Managing Agent requires.

Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
