Job description

Come and join a successful, forward-thinking, family-run manufacturing company in Worthing - we offer a competitive salary, annual bonus, and onsite parking. We are a 5-minute walk from East Worthing railway station.

The role
As a member of Production Support, you will play a crucial role in assisting with production tasks to organise and maintain a consistent workflow for the Assembly Lines. Your background in manufacturing and commitment to safety will be key. You will need excellent time management and communication skills, attention to detail and a collaborative mindset for success in this role.

The hours
Flexi-time - start 0800-0930 and finish 1530-1700 - 37.50 hours a week.

Main duties and responsibilities

Kitting of components for product assembly
Operating Epoxy Resin machines
Rolling stock checks
Coordinating Goods Inwards
Perform Quality Checks on components
Follow QA reject processes
Data entry using a PC
Daily tasks using computerised stock system
Speed of response testing of products and preparing packaging
Basic production tasks
Communicating via phone, email and face-to-face
Assisting Production Manager and Assistant Manager with any necessary administrative duties as required

Full training on all activities will be given to the successful candidates.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have experience of:-

Working within a similar role or having a good understanding of working in a manufacturing environment.
Stock control
Working with a computerised stock system.
An understanding and responsible attitude to Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.

In addition to this, the candidates must be able to demonstrate:_

Excellent organisational skills & ability to prioritise a high volume of work.
Good computer skills and confident user of Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication skills – on the phone, via email and in person.
Self-motivated and able to use initiative with minimal supervision.
Accurate attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Team player – able to work with all areas of the business.
Willing to perform repetitive tasks whilst sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
