Job Description:
· A workshop-based role to join a joinery team in the production of bespoke joinery products to the retail sector, predominantly using panel-based materials.
· The role requires operation & assistance with the programming & maintenance of 2Nº flatbed CNC machining centres along with the safe operation of traditional wood working machinery such as panel saws, spindle moulders, planers etc.
· Work closely with the production manager in the development & testing CNC operations.
· To assist the joinery team with other elements of joinery production when required.
Experience / Skills:
· Engagement and adherence to H&S in the workplace
· CNC operator/wood machinist qualification or time served experience
· Some experience in the use of traditional woodworking machinery
· CNC programming software training in either Alpha Cam or alternative woodworking CNC programming package
· Experience with SCM Xilog, Maestro & Spai Genio programming software preferred but not essential as training will be provided
· Good knowledge of windows OS
· Genuine interest in woodwork production & machinery
· A focus on quality
· Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
· Practical & logical ability with good attention to detail
· Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
· Self-motivated
Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
