Overview:
We are seeking Service & Maintenance Engineers to join our Service & Maintenance team. You’ll be part of a busy team, working closely with our other Engineers & Operatives, office-based support teams, contractors and our clients, to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our contracts.
Hours:
This role is Mon – Fri, 8:30am - 5pm with an on-call rota of 1 in 4 weeks. Overtime and weekend work is available as and when. Some reasonable flexibility may be required on start/finish time in line with works.

Responsibilities:
- Servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems and FFE
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to ensure system reliability and compliance.
- Complete installation, repair, and replacement works when required
- Produce and issue certification and service reports in line with relevant British Standards.
- Participate in the emergency call-out rota, providing reactive support when required.
- Ensure all administration, reporting, and documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain full compliance with health & safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices for yourself and colleagues
- Manage your company vehicle, tools, and stock levels to meet client demands.
- Attend site meetings as required and liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Support trainees or apprentices when required
- Liaise with supporting office-based team
Essential Experience, Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and FFE
- City & Guilds Level 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- BS 5839-1 Fundamentals (FD&A Units 1 & 2)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Valid CSCS Card
- Comfortable working in a field-based role in residential properties
- Strong fault-finding skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Able to participate in a call-out rota and be available for both reactive and planned works
Desirable (Training Provided if Needed)
- AOV servicing experience and/or training.
- Servicing and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers
- Emergency Lighting Part 1: Design and/or Part 2: Advanced Maintenance & Operation
- First Aid, Asbestos Awareness & Working at Height
- Experience with Protec, Advanced and FireClass
You must have a valid UK driving license and be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
