We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated sonographer with excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient-centred care. The successful candidate will join a skilled and supportive Ultrasound team, delivering a high-quality, patient-focused service across York Hospital and satellite sites.
You will undertake a varied caseload of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency examinations, working closely with sonographers, radiologists, clinicians, and the wider multidisciplinary team. The role can be tailored to support development in specialist areas based on experience and interests.

As a Trust, we’re always on the hunt for skilled staff who want to work flexibly. Our in-house bank provides cover for fluctuating workloads, staffing shortfalls or when there is need for extra support.
Whilst regular work is not guaranteed, applicants can give as much or as little availability as they wish. Please note Bank workers are asked to work 45 hours in a rolling 6 month period to maintain an active bank post.
