DNS isn't a mystery to you it's a system you understand deeply and enjoy working in. You write clean, practical code to solve infrastructure problems, you're comfortable debugging issues that others find opaque, and you take pride in building systems that just work, reliably and at scale.
You'll build and maintain DNS architecture and software infrastructure that underpins Team Internet Group's reseller services developing new capabilities, integrating DNS into applications and services, and keeping production systems running smoothly. You'll work closely with product and engineering colleagues across the group, with a focus on reliable, scalable, well-crafted output.
If DNS is your home territory and clean, impactful backend engineering is what you do best — we'd like to hear from you.
Programming Hands-on experience in Perl, Python, or Go. You write code that's production-ready — readable, maintainable, and appropriately simple. You reach for scripting to automate the repetitive and manual without being told to.
DNS expertise In-depth knowledge of DNS protocols, architecture, and security — including zone management and DNSSEC. You've built, maintained, and troubleshot DNS systems in production environments. You understand what can go wrong, why, and how to fix it quickly.
Systems & architecture Solid understanding of API gateways, microservices, and modern cloud technologies. You're comfortable building and integrating within a multi-microservice architecture, and you know how to keep solutions elegant rather than over-engineered.
Troubleshooting Strong, methodical diagnostic skills. When something breaks in production, you're calm, systematic, and effective — and you leave it better than you found it.
Collaboration You work well with product owners and cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions without needing the brief to be perfectly formed before you can start. You're equally effective working independently or as part of a team, and you communicate clearly at all levels.
