About Skylight Psychiatry:

Skylight Psychiatry is a forward thinking, dynamic mental health service. We are a CQC registered service delivering person-centred assessment, care and support, with our ultimate aim being to improve the lives of people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, Autism and Learning disabilities.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a professional and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our organisation. This role requires excellent communication skills, a confident telephone manner, and an understanding of neurodiversity to ensure all enquiries are handled with patience and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, approachable, and able to multitask in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing enquiries via telephone, email, and the website, ensuring all queries are responded to promptly and professionally.
Directing enquiries to the appropriate department or colleague as needed, facilitating smooth communication and timely responses.
Providing a welcoming experience for all callers and email enquiries, ensuring a positive first impression of the organisation.
Maintaining a professional and confident telephone manner, adapting communication style to accommodate different needs, including neurodiverse individuals.
Understanding and supporting neurodiverse individuals, ensuring interactions are handled with patience, clarity, and sensitivity.
Keeping accurate records of calls and enquiries, maintaining organised logs for reference and follow-ups.
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and provide support where necessary.

Skills & Requirements:

Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent telephone etiquette with the ability to manage enquiries effectively.
Awareness and understanding of neurodiversity, ensuring inclusive and supportive interactions.
Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities in a busy environment.
Proficient in basic computer skills and office software.
Friendly, professional, and proactive approach to work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £25,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday
