Role Summary
This role will be working in an exciting and growing arm of the company, Energy & Environmental Services. Your role will be critical in delivery of essential business results through partnerships will high profile companies. You will coordinate the project specific stores depot and process materials and products for onward distribution (resale or recycling/disposal). The role offers a chance for you to be innovative and explore a multitude of different distribution avenues while securing the optimum commercial returns. You will be working in a team of people in which you will all collaborate to ensure maximum efficiency for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring you are working in a safe manner using the correct PPE, machinery and mechanical aids is essential. Ensuring you are trained, confident and competent in working in your role.
- Carrying out market research relating to field of works to ascertain new opportunities for processing and or disposal of hardware.
- Disassembly and cost efficient processing of WEEE and other associated hardware for onward resale or recycling.
- Proactively engaging with 3rd parties to secure deals on items suited for resale.
- Ensuring the projects depot is a safe environment and products and material are stored correctly and safe to avoid slips, trips and spills.
- Processing goods and materials; you will be responsible for processing the goods and materials that arrive at the depot. This involves assisting with unloading the goods/materials, correct storage, correctly processing and / or the resale / scrapping.
- Coordination and logging; ensuring products and materials and correctly logged and processed on various documents ensuring accurate tracking for all scrap and resale materials, keeping appropriate tracking systems in place.
- Ensuring we get the best value for money on products and goods; exploring a variety of avenues to ensure we sell the materials and goods at the best possible price.
- Manage operations within the projects depot to ensure they produce the desired results and consistent with the overall strategy.
- Communication across a variety of different people and teams to update and communicate status and changes and any challenges to drive positive change.
- Analysis and improve. Review financial and non-financials trackers to devise solutions and improvements to benefit the business within your team.
- Being a team player, engaging with colleagues proactively to enable success.
Personal Specification
Qualifications and Experience:
- Familiarity with M&E equipment.
- Working in recycling plant to achieve maximum returns.
- IT Literate, able to produce and update tracking systems.
- Fork lift experience and qualification.
- Aptitude for learning and dealing with high levels of ambiguity within a changing environment.
- Experience of or willingness to proactively learn resale outlets and suitable items for used telecoms equipment.
