We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef de Partie to work alongside our passionate kitchen team within our Gastro pub. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a Chef de Partie role.
Duties
- Run a designated section within the kitchen, organised by the Sous / Head Chef.
- Ensure dishes are produced to the agreed standard in a timely manner.
- Receive, check and store deliveries into the kitchen.
- Integrate, train and supervise the Commis Chefs and apprentice.
- To work with the Head Chef / Sous Chef in the development of the food offering in a view to maximizing revenue opportunities and exceeding customer expectations
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes for their assigned section (e.g. fish, meat, sauces, pastry).
- Keep your section stocked, organized, and clean.
- Create and carry out prep lists.
- Ensure your section is left in a clean, tidy and functional manner at the end of each shift.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned & functional, report any issues to the Head Chef.
- Monitor portion sizes and control waste to manage costs.
- Ensure the daily and weekly cleaning schedules are completed to agreed standard.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met to the required standard.
- Ensure the back of house areas are immaculately maintained at all times.
- Work wit whole kitchen team to ensure our EHO is 5 stars.
- Managing stock levels and ensuring all orders are being processed correctly & on time.
- Working alongside Head/Sous Chef so budgeted food GP % is being achieved.
- Waste management, ensuring it is kept to minimum and recorded correctly.
- Communication with all FOH team to ensure positive working environment.
- Attend meetings & contribute ideas to generate more revenue for the business.
- Any other duties deemed reasonable by GM /Ops / Directors.
This role is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about delivering an outstanding dining experience while supporting other members of the kitchen team. Applicants should demonstrate practical culinary knowledge and a passion for food.
