Full job description

DASH Is a charity that supports children with disabilities and their families.

TASKS

To ensure that the personal care needs of the young people are attended to at all times.
To share the responsibility for the constant supervision of the young people attending.
To join in activities and work alongside staff and volunteers.
To assist in the organisation and supervision of appropriate and enjoyable activities both within the venues and in the community.
To assist in the co-ordination and support of volunteers.
To communicate clearly, courteously and in a professional manner with all members of the team, parents/carers and other agencies.
To assist in ensuring that the venue remains tidy and clean and that it is a safe and secure environment for the young people attending.
Maintain best practice in accordance with the Code of Practice and other relevant legislation
Maintain compliance with the All Wales Safeguarding Procedures
Notwithstanding the detail of this job description, the staff may be required to perform miscellaneous job related duties.

Qualification and experience requirements

Hold Level 3 diploma for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People) Wales or equivalent* or achieve qualification within 18 months.
Have completed or complete All Wales Induction Framework for CYP workforce and registration with Social Care Wales

* Qualification approved by Social Care Wales

Successful employment will be dependent on the outcome of Safer Recruitment processes including an Enhanced DBS check.
