Full job description

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Fillet the relevant raw material as required by the Company to meet customer and legal standards.
Maintain food hygiene standards as required by law.
Use equipment such as knives and blade correctly – following the Company’s knife and blade control policy and procedure.
Ensure products meet the desired specifications as set by each customer.
Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the production process.
Complete any relevant paperwork in accordance with Company requirements.
Maintain PPE and utensils given to the required standard.
Maintain knowledge of HACCP, basic food hygiene and GMP (after initial training).
Understand and practise the requirements for different trims and cuts.
Maximise yield requirements for different cuts and species.
Handle fish correctly with due care and in accordance with instruction.
Carry out all lifting tasks in line with instruction and Manual Handling Instruction.
Maintenance and proper usage of equipment used for movement of materials.
Follow instructions for issue and re-issue of equipment and ensure it is not used by others.
Any other reasonable request from your supervisor/manager.

Liaise with other departments as necessary.
Report any faults within the production line.
Report any issues regarding the quality of the product – either raw material or packaging.
Report any health and safety issues or concerns to supervisors/managers.

Ensure that the standard of housekeeping in the working area is high and the working area is safe.
Comply with Health and Safety requirements.
Participate in any development and training programs put in place in line with attaining company goals and aims.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

Aberdeen AB12 3AN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

filleting: 1 year (preferred)

English (preferred)
