As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Manager to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
The Role
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive finance professional who is comfortable managing company finances within a growing engineering and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting management reporting and helping ensure smooth financial operations across the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management
- Manage company cashflow and monitor financial performance
- Prepare weekly cashflow statements for management review
- Produce weekly creditor and debtor reports
- Prepare monthly profit and loss reports
- Assist with quarterly management accounts
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Ensure supplier invoices are correctly matched against purchase orders
- Ensure customer invoices are raised accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare weekly supplier payment runs for management approval
- Set up supplier and payroll payments via online banking platforms
- Manage credit control processes and overdue accounts
Account Administration
- Set up new customer accounts and define credit terms
- Set up new supplier accounts and agree payment terms
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement of finance procedures and controls
VAT & Compliance
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting or finance experience
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 (essential)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Accounting qualification preferred (AAT, Diploma, Degree or equivalent)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience
- Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
