Collaborate with: Blackdog Site Manager, Technical Manager NORM, General Manager, Industrial Tank Cleaning Operatives, Site Chemist
Job Summary:
To assist in the day-to-day operations of the Blackdog Decommissioning Centre, including NORM decontamination and waste management. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
· Supporting the Decontamination RPS and providing holiday cover as required.
· NORM Decontamination of client equipment and repackaging of client waste.
· Ensuring all relevant documentation has been completed for each work scope to assist
in the billing process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Proactively support and embed a generative safety culture, ensuring Safe Systems of Work are followed for all site activities.
· Ensure all work activities are compliant with permits, operating licenses and the Integrated Management System (IMS).
· Always maintaining the general housekeeping of the site.
· UHP jetting and Size Reduction of pipework, spools and valves where required.
· Operation and routine maintenance of Automated Tubular Decontamination unit.
· Operation and routine maintenance of plant equipment and site vehicles including forklift truck
· Assist the Site Decontamination RPS to ensure all the relevant paperwork is uploaded to the Job Files.
· Ensure the safe and compliant receipt and load-out of consignments.
· Safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles on site, including bulk tankers for loading and discharge.
· Ensure that all equipment, PPE and spares that may be required are available at the worksite and stored correctly.
· Undertaking specific tasks as per business requirements to meet specific project demands.
· Support Industrial Services crew with Marine Tank Cleaning when required
· Maintaining continuous professional development
· Any other reasonable duties as and when required.
Critical Qualifications, Knowledge, skills and Experience:
· HP/UHP Water Jetting (WJA)
· RPS certification or NORM awareness as a minimum
· Confined space training, including the use of breathing apparatus.
· Forklift Certificate inc combi lift
· Mechanical background with UHP equipment preferable
· Ability to follow detailed instructions.
· Ability to work under own initiative.
· Previous experience working in similar environment.
Summary Performance Measures
· Ensuring the site is in good order at all times.
· No LTI’s or Environmental Incidents.
· Completion of NORM decontamination works to the relevant standards.
· Participation in Augean safety observation systems
