Salary: The Band 3 salary scale is £29,103 to £31,409 per annum for full-time hours - the salary will be adjusted on a pro rata basis to reflect the contracted part-time hours.
Hours: This is a part time post at 19.2 hours per week
This post is a 2 Year Fixed Term Contract / Secondment position. As per the Fixed Term Contacts Policy - Where individuals with continuous service within the NHS apply for fixed-term contract roles, PSD Scotland reserves the right to refuse any such appointment.
On 1 April 2026, NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) became one national organisation, focused on continuity today and a stronger, more connected service for tomorrow.

PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.
We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services.
The Post:
Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS), a Strategic Business Unit within PSD Scotland, plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in manufacturing, product development, biomedical research and donor services. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of donor and patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive.
In support of this, the SNBTS Procurement department, reporting to National Procurement (NP) and based at the Headquarters of SNBTS, provides a comprehensive range of procurement and stores support services to SNBTS operations, including an onward distribution service to NHSS Pharmacies of finished plasma products.
An opportunity has now arisen within the Procurement Department for a Storekeeper to join the team at their store in the Aberdeen Donor Centre at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Forresterhill site. The post holder will have a key role as sole onsite storekeeper to provide a high-quality storekeeping service to the SNBTS Aberdeen Donor Centre.
Covering all duties required of a Storekeeper whilst working within the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). These duties will Include receipting, picking and issuing of stock, Stock checks, filling out documentation timeously and correctly. Loading and unloading of vehicles, use of the electronic stock management system. Keeping the warehouse and associated areas clean and tidy.

Location and Working Pattern:
This post will be based at Aberdeen Donor Centre at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Forresterhill.
The work pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 19.2 hours per week.
The role operates on a part-time basis, with working hours scheduled from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 14:00. On Fridays, the working hours are from 10:00 to 13:12, resulting in a total of 19.2 hours per week. While there is some flexibility available regarding these times, it is essential that hours are distributed across all five working days.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK and have entitlement to work in the UK for the post in which you will be employed.
