Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support to our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. Duties
- Provide technical support to end-users across hardware, software, and network issues via help desk channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Assist with desktop support including installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Manage network connectivity issues involving LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and other networking components.
- Use IT service management tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira to log incidents and track resolution progress.
- Support the setup and maintenance of computer hardware, including servers and workstations.
- Collaborate with team members to implement system upgrades and security patches.
- Communicate effectively with users to explain technical solutions in a clear manner.
- Maintain documentation of support activities and contribute to knowledge base articles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software applications and hardware components.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and remote support tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: £160.00-£190.00 per day
