Full job description

John G Baird is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Painter to join our team working across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. This is a varied role suited to a skilled all-rounder who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will carry out a range of maintenance, painting and plastering works within occupied and void properties while representing the company in a professional manner at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works
Complete plastering and surface preparation works to a high standard
Undertake general maintenance and repair tasks as required
Measure up jobs accurately for pricing and material requirements
Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and safety on site
Liaise professionally with customers, tenants and colleagues
Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in painting, decorating and plastering
Good all-round maintenance skills
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Ability to measure and assess jobs for quotations/pricing
Strong communication and customer care skills
Ability to work on own initiative and manage workload effectively
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
Ability to work well within a team environment

Desirable Skills

Experience working within domestic maintenance environments
Knowledge of health & safety procedures
Additional trade skills would be advantageous
