Part‑Time Independent Prescribing Pharmacist

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and clinically driven Independent Prescribing Pharmacist to join our expanding team across Aberdeenshire. This role offers the opportunity to work across several well‑established community pharmacies, each with strong patient relationships and a growing clinical service portfolio.
You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality prescribing services, supporting Pharmacy First Plus, and contributing to the development of new clinical pathways across the group. Working closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist and branch teams, you will help strengthen our clinical governance framework and ensure safe, effective, patient‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver independent prescribing services in line with national guidance and local protocols
- Provide clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment within your scope of competence
- Support the delivery and expansion of Pharmacy First Plus and other NHS services
- Contribute to private clinical services where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, ACTs, dispensers, and support staff across multiple branches
- Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold all governance, audit, and SOP requirements
- Participate in service development, quality improvement, and clinical audit cycles
- Promote safe, effective prescribing and contribute to multidisciplinary care where relevant
About You
- GPhC‑registered Pharmacist with Independent Prescribing qualification
- Confident in clinical assessment and decision‑making
- Strong communication skills and a patient‑centred approach
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider clinical team
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across multiple locations
- Committed to high standards of governance, safety, and continuous improvement
