Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tree Surgeon to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and caring for trees and landscaped areas, ensuring safety, health, and aesthetic appeal. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for tree management and landscape maintenance to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, requiring physical fitness and attention to safety standards. Candidates must have a driving license.

Duties

Pruning, trimming, and shaping trees to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
Removing dead or hazardous branches to ensure safety in public and private spaces
Operating power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems
Conducting landscape maintenance tasks including planting, fertilising, and mulching
Assisting with construction projects related to landscaping or tree planting
Performing routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance
Assessing tree health and providing recommendations for treatment or removal when necessary
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and environmental standards
Supporting a growing team

Skills

Proven experience in the industry
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in tree surgery
Strong understanding of tree biology, horticulture practices, and environmental considerations
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintenance work
Excellent safety awareness and adherence to industry standards
