We are now looking to recruit a Newly Qualified Litigation Solicitor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal principles and practices, with the ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage a diverse caseload while providing exceptional legal advice and representation.
Responsibilities
To manage a varied caseload efficiently and in accordance with DPA Law’s procedures.
To provide clear, accurate and timely legal advice to clients.
To draft, review and negotiate legal documents and correspondence.
To conduct legal research and apply findings to client matters.
To represent clients in meetings, negotiations and where appropriate Court hearings.
To build and maintain strong client relationships ensuring excellent client service and clear communication.
To ensure compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations, AML, GDPR and client confidentiality, whilst managing risk and adhering to professional conduct obligations.
To maintain accurate time recording and billing, offering monthly forecasts to the Office Manager.
To supervise and support Paralegals, Trainees and Support staff.
Supporting Duties
To contribute to business development and marketing activities, identifying any opportunities for cross-referrals within DPA Law.
To work collaboratively with colleagues across departments and contribute to training and knowledge sharing within DPA Law.
To work safely and to undertake training and other health and safety measures relevant to the role.
To perform other duties which are not included above, but which are consistent with the post.
Experience
- A qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successful negotiation outcomes is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly to clients.
- A commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends and changes in law.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
