Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and versatile people to join our team. We are a small team, based in the heart of a working farm in Whitehill, Carmarthenshire.

We manufacture a number of furniture items including coffee tables, console tables, dining tables, bed side tables, vanities etc.

Our work hours are 8:30am-4:30pm monday-friday with overtime available on occasion.

Our team is divided into two sections, makers and finishers. We are looking for one person to join our makers team and one to join our finishers team.

The makers role is to check the cut list for the design on order, cut the timber lengths required and assemble item using various joinery techniques.

The finishers role is to sand the item and finish with wax/oil.

The successful condidate will need to be confident in their skills and be able to work with minimal supervision once the relevant training has been provided.

Experience using a table saw, circular saw and chop saw are essential for this role.

***This role requires a good attitude and a strong work ethic. It requires a high level of attention to detail.***

Responsibilities & Skills

Carry out fabrication and assembly tasks e.g. cutting timber, gluing, fitting, levelling, sanding, waxing and packing.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned duties.
Perform carpentry and joinery work, ensuring high-quality finishes.
Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools, with the ability to operate them safely.
Experience in carpentry and joinery, demonstrating attention to detail.

Wage:

Wage will be dependant upon skill level. Depending on how many of the manufacturing stages can be done competently without supervision. This can be developed over time for less experienced candidates.

Location:

Brynteg Farm, Whitemill, Carmarthen, SA327HG.

Roughly three miles in from either Whitemill or Peniel. Please check the route prior to applying.
