Role Overview
Reporting to the IT Manager, the role of Service Desk Analyst is an exciting new position for a during a period of significant growth. They will be responsible for day-to-day tasks of the service desk including answering calls and logging incidents from ETL staff. Dealing directly with staff members in a face-to-face situation including up to CEO level. Performing initial investigation and/or troubleshooting of first level support calls within our business environment and record the solutions in our service desk software. The Service Desk Analyst role with also include configuration of new equipment and managing Assets and recording them on the Asset Database. Some networking infrastructure work which will including patching equipment. This is a significant and challenging role that that would suit a person with an interest in IT and willing to learn new technologies. This role is customer facing and the candidate must be comfortable to explain things in a way the person can action their instructions. There will be opportunities for career progression and on the job training will be provided. Due to the nature of the work some issues may mean there will be some travel involved and working beyond you normal contracted hours.
Key Accountabilities

Being first point of contact for any user support issues for all ETL sites via phone, email or face-to-face.

Logging and allocation of support calls.

Assist with the maintenance of accurate IT-related inventory records

Performing initial investigation and/or troubleshooting of first level support calls.
Our ideal candidate
The Ideal candidate will either have an interest in technology or basic knowledge of computers or a qualification relating to Information Technology. They must be willing to learn and take on new challenges as the company evolves but also be able to think outside the box to come up with resolutions for issues. They must be willing to work as a Team, but be able to work by their own initiative by themselves.
Desired Skills/qualifications/Experience:

Demonstrable base level of knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
Location: This role requires you to work on-site at our modern manufacturing facility in Hereford - Before applying, please make sure you can commute to Coldwell Radio Station, Madley, Herefordshire, HR2 9NE
