Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer (FMCG)
Hours 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern 08.00 – 16.30 Tuesday to Saturday
(Mandatory night shift cover of minimum 9 weeks per annum)

Job Purpose
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the global Lactalis Group. As part of the Engineering Team reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that plant, machinery and equipment are capable of meeting the day-to-day Company needs. This includes planned preventative maintenance, machine modifications, attending machine breakdowns and plant improvements.
You will work in a clean and responsible manner, constantly monitoring production machinery and affecting repairs to all services within production areas. With an eye for detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting, you will be required to work with minimal supervision and to work flexibly on occasion to meet operational needs.
Skills we need
You will hold 18th Edition electrical City & Guilds qualification and have a sound mechanical engineering understanding. This is a physically demanding post and you will need to demonstrate a high level of competence against the following profile.
FMCG environment
- Machine maintenance
- Fabrication skills
- Ability to read schematics and fault find.
Knowledge of:
- Manufacturing plant and machinery
- HACCP
- Food Safety
