Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Resort Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our self catering resort. This role offers live-in accommodation for the right candidate, providing an excellent opportunity to lead a housekeeping team within resort environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Previous hotel and short let resort experience are highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the resort.
Coordinate cleaning schedules for guest rooms, public areas, and private facilities, ensuring timely completion.
Train and mentor housekeeping staff to maintain consistent quality and service standards.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and communal areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as hotel policies.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Liaise with other departments to coordinate special requests or maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff schedules, and stock levels.
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns related to cleanliness or service promptly and professionally.

Requirements

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar hospitality role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Knowledge of janitorial procedures, cleaning techniques, and health & safety standards within a hospitality setting.
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Flexibility regarding working hours, including availability for live-in accommodation if required.
A positive attitude with excellent communication skills in British English.
