Job Title: Milk Intake and Process Operative

Job Purpose

You will ensure raw milk conforms with food safety, industry standards & stringent Company policies and that it is processed in accordance with Food Safety and Quality Standards as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Your Tasks
- To receive bulk milk deliveries, sample and test the raw milk, unload and CIP the tanker and other relevant tanks and plant, in accordance with company quality standards and scheduled cleaning programme.
- To process the milk to the requirements of the plant.
- To ensure that all products are produced within specification.
- To produce accurate computerised and manual records in a timely, efficient manner.
- To assist with the maintenance of company plant and equipment, ensuring that it is kept in a hygienic condition and cleaned in accordance with cleaning plans and schedules.
- Responsible for checking equipment to ensure that there is no potential risk to food product safety, health and safety and for reporting any defects should they occur.
Skills we need
This is a physically demanding post. You will preferably have knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety Regulations. You will be flexible, be able to work independently, have an eye for detail with problem solving skills. Qualifications in Food Safety Level 2, HACCP Level 2 and Manual Handling would be beneficial, however full training will be provided. You must be flexible to change shifts on occasion. Forklift licence desirable.
