About Cantre Mobility
Cantre Mobility is a leading provider of mobility equipment, assistive technology, and daily living aids across West Wales. We support customers to live more independently through expert advice, quality products, and outstanding service.
The Role
This is a specialist sales role combining field-based customer consultations with showroom sales. You'll visit customers at home, in care homes, and in hospital settings to assess their needs and recommend the right mobility solutions — as well as working on our showroom floor at our Aberaeron head office, with cover at our Carmarthen showroom when required.
This isn't a standard retail sales role. We're looking for someone who will develop genuine expertise in complex mobility and assistive technology equipment, working with customers across a range of disabilities and conditions including stroke recovery, neurological conditions, orthopaedic needs, and age-related mobility challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits, needs assessments, and product demonstrations for customers across West Wales
- Visit nursing homes, care settings, and hospitals to advise on appropriate equipment
- Provide expert consultative sales on the showroom floor at Aberaeron and Carmarthen
- Build and manage a pipeline of field-based enquiries through to sale
- Develop specialist product knowledge across complex mobility equipment including powered wheelchairs, scooters, rise-and-recline seating, hoists, and pressure care products
- Liaise with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Process quotations, sales transactions, and funding applications including VAT exemption and NHS referrals
- Maintain accurate customer records using company systems
- Ensure high standards of customer aftercare and follow-up
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in a customer-facing sales or advisory role
- Experience working with older adults or people with disabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to customers with varying needs
- Genuine commitment to improving the lives of people with mobility challenges
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own time and workload independently
- Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across West Wales
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
- Experience in mobility, assistive technology, healthcare retail, or a related sector
- Experience conducting home visits or field-based consultations
- Background in or knowledge of health or social care settings
- Knowledge of disability equipment funding including VAT relief and NHS pathways
- Welsh language skills
Why Join Us?
