Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Full-time or Part-time | Flexible Working Considered Aeron Vets – Ciliau Aeron, Ceredigion, West Wales

Aeron Vets is an independent practice based in the picturesque village of Ciliau Aeron, just five minutes from the vibrant seaside town of Aberaeron. We are currently seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, although mixed vets with a strong interest in small animal work would also be warmly welcomed.

Surrounded by the stunning landscapes of rural Ceredigion and Cardigan Bay, this is an incredible opportunity for a vet who enjoys the outdoors and wants to build a fulfilling career in a supportive, community-focused practice. Whether your ideal day off involves surfing, paddleboarding, hiking coastal paths, trail running, cycling, or exploring the Cambrian Mountains, West Wales offers an exceptional quality of life with a slower pace and welcoming community spirit.

We are looking for a vet who enjoys being part of that journey — someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality medicine and keen to contribute ideas as the practice evolves.

The role offers a rewarding mix of consulting and surgery, with the opportunity to work cases through and develop strong relationships with both clients and patients. There is huge scope to build a loyal client base within our close-knit community and become a valued part of the practice and local area.

You’ll be supported by an experienced and dedicated support team, alongside enthusiastic and highly capable Registered Veterinary Nurses who play an integral role within the practice. We are proud of our collaborative and down-to-earth culture, where everyone’s input is valued and where we aim to create an environment in which vets can continue to grow professionally while enjoying a great quality of life outside of work.

What we offer:

· Competitive salary up to £65,000 DOE

· Full-time or part-time hours with flexible working considered

· Inclusive 1:5 Out of Hours rota

· OOH retainers and hours worked paid in addition to salary

· 33 days annual leave

· 11 days sick leave
