Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen operations within our busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and maintaining an organised and efficient workspace. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence to lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants, to ensure smooth operations
Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements
Lead food preparation and cooking tasks, maintaining consistency and efficiency in meal service
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
Train new team members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times

Experience

Proven experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting
Background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
Familiarity with hospitality operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles
Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
